Helping You Achieve Success

Unlock Your Full Potential.
Say Hello to the New You

Coaching can help you navigate the sense of loss inherent in big life changes and arrive at the transformative stage faster.

Create a blueprint for the life you want & identify next steps towards obtaining that life.

Pinpoint behavior patterns, emotional obstacles, & limiting beliefs.

Move forward more swiftly and with more confidence.

Be authentic as you begin writing this next chapter in your life.

The process of changing from one state or condition to another.

The quality of being coherent and intelligible.

A feeling of great pleasure and happiness.

A course along which someone or something moves.

Life transitions happen to all of us.

We grow up. We get married. We have kids. We move. We age. We change careers. The kids grow up and leave home. We lose loved ones. Sometimes we even lose ourselves.

We may experience all of the changes or only some of them. We may experience some of them multiple times.

The fact of the matter is life changes can be difficult to navigate, but they can also be a beautiful time of transformation. Life changes can be a point of rebirth, getting back in touch with yourself, your desires, and the future you want to create for yourself.

Who is your ideal client?

I love working with people who have just gone through big changes in life. I know first hand both how freeing those changes can feel and how scary. I also know from personal experience how daunting it can be to revisit your identity, figure out who this new person is, and create a life that reflects the values of your life moving forward. I’ve worked with clients in all kinds of transitions: those who are recently divorced, just experienced their first child leaving the nest, going through a faith transition, are considering a big career change, or have reached midlife and realized that life in the later half is much different than life in the first half.

How long do I need coaching?

That really depends on your needs. If you’re simply wanting to get clarity and direction on one issue or goal, we can likely help you get set in as little as 4 sessions. However, if you’re going through a full life transformation after the death of a loved one or a big life transition, you may need more time to get clarity on who you are in your new life, what your values are, and what you actually want in life. You may choose the 8 session or even 16 session packages for your needs.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Such a great question! Therapists and coaches both play vital roles during big life transitions. Therapists are like archeologists. They help you dig into the past trauma you may have experienced to help you understand who you are now. They help you understand how your beliefs and patterns formed in the first place. They help you process baggage you may still be carrying with you from earlier in your life. Life coaches, on the other hand, are more like architects. We help you build a life you want from where you are now. Past experiences may come up from time to time as a frame of reference for why something feels hard to do or achieve, but my role is to help you move past those limits into the life you want. I can’t emphasize enough that both methods can be valuable when processing trauma and grief which often accompany the bigger changes in life.

What if I choose a coach and actually need a therapist?

Don’t worry. Both therapists and coaches are trained to help you evaluate what is best for your situation. If we get into our sessions and you decide you want to work on things that are beyond the ethical scope of what a coach can help with, I can certainly provide you with a list of recommendations for therapists that can help you work through trauma and grief.

What can I do to get the most out of my coaching experience?

Come to the session openminded and curious. This is going to be an adventure. We’re going to be embarking on a journey to discover who you are and what you REALLY want; putting aside the things you’ve been told you “should” be or “should” want. Coming to our sessions with an attitude of openness will allow you to make progress towards the life you desire much faster.

Hello! My name is Teri Hales.

My friends describe me as the girl next door…you know the one. The bubbly, gets-along-with-practically-everybody, yoga pants and baseball cap-wearing woman that just puts you at ease. Why? Because there’s no mask here. What you see is what you get. And because I show up 100% as me, it makes it comfortable to show up as you.

While I earned a bachelor’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development back in 2002, it wasn’t really until I hit rock bottom 10 years ago that I began to understand the power of living a life on your own terms.

My belief is that everyone deserves to wake up and feel excited about the life they’ve created. As a certified life coach, I’ll guide you through discovering your authentic self again so you can build a life that brings you joy.

Faith in the Midst of Fear

Faith in the Midst of Fear

I woke up this morning feeling like my brain was receiving a download from the universe. I laid there in bed for almost an hour with my eyes closed, just trying to cement what I was learning into my conscious brain. It was a beautiful experience. I wanted to share...

Setting Boundaries

Discovering the Authentic You

Discovering the Authentic You

Who am I, anyway? 3 years ago, I underwent a faith crisis and eventually a faith transition. Up until this point, my faith had been the defining characteristic of my life. It informed every other part of who I was. It told me who I was as a woman, what was expected of...

“I found Teri when I was going through a deeply challenging transition. I looked forward to her posts and stories on Instagram because they consistently inspired me and brought hope and humor to a difficult situation.

When I got on a coaching call with her for the first time, I was amazed at how much Teri immediately felt like a friend. Her cheerfulness, enthusiasm, and warmth put me at ease right away.

Working with Teri helped me to uncover blind spots in the ways I was approaching solutions to problems and achieving goals. She helped me to talk through my approach, listening with so much empathy and providing so much encouragement, and then asked gentle questions to help me probe deeper and uncover wisdom and insight, unlocking my power to move forward with confidence. She also helped me select action steps to complete after each call, so I could immediately apply what I learned to improve my life that week.

Every time we talked, Teri celebrated my growth and progress with affirming words and compliments.  Working with Teri helped me feel excited to move into the future I am creating, and I am so grateful!”

“Teri has been my life coach for about a month now, and I can only say great things about her. She knows how to listen to you. And because she truly does listen to you, she GETS you. She doesn’t judge. She guides you. She helps you take that one little step forward that can be oh so scary and seems so giant. And she does it in such a way that, every time I walk away from time spent with her, my fears have been replaced by excitement and self-confidence that I can tackle whatever it is that I need to tackle.

I always look forward to meeting with her! I honestly wish I could take her with me everywhere every day so I could hear her wisdom every single minute of every single day!

If you are thinking about making your life better, reaching a goal that has always looked impossible to reach, or you want help going through a life transition, Teri is the person you need and want. I highly, highly recommend her.”
